Jefferson County sportsman club loses 8K fish to nursery flooding, asks for help

HEATH TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — Members of a Jefferson County sportsman club are asking for help after they say 8,000 fish from their nursery were killed by flooding that washed through Thursday night. The Heath Township Sportsman Club is now asking the community to help dispose of the fish. Volunteers are told to gather their buckets, shovels and gloves and to meet at the raceway off of State Route 949 at noon Saturday. Read More...

Laurel Auto Group prepares for JCBL season

JOHNSTOWN — Laurel Auto Group--like every other team in the Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League--wants to win the championship. LAG finished in third place last season. This year's team only had to replace three players. Manager Jim Skiles thinks his squad can compete for a title. "These guys love the game of baseball," Skiles said.
