BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Nearly five years after an electrical fire damaged their main office, officials at the Bedford County Fairgrounds on Monday celebrated the opening of their new fair office.
Local leaders and community members attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday afternoon.

A 31-yeard-old Ferndale woman has been charged, accused of trying to run down two people with a truck.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Sunday Lacey Hamilton, Vickroy Avenue, and two people had a heated argument at Hamilton’s home.
During the argument, Hamilton allegedly told the two that she was going to “kill” them.
The two people told police that Hamilton was “drunk and high.”
According to the affidavit, after the two people left the home following the argument, Hamilton drove a red Dodge Truck on a sidewalk along Ferndale Avenue and tried to strike the two — who were on foot. Read More...
STATE COLLEGE – School leaders from across Pennsylvania gathered in State College Tuesday to discuss the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association playoff system and whether the current rules are fair for all schools.
The organization is a nonprofit and voluntary membership corporation. The organization was created to develop and enforce rules regulating interscholastic athletic competitions.
Hundreds of school officials showed up to make sure their voices are heard. Some of them even suggested leaving the PIAA if nothing's done. Read More...
