JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Johnstown native Carlton Haselrig, who’s a former Steeler and the most decorated athlete in Pitt-Johnstown history, passed away Wednesday at the age of 54.
According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, Haselrig died of natural causes.
Haselrig wrestled for Johnstown High as an independent “one-man team” as a senior posting a 10-0 record and winning the Pennsylvania AAA State Heavyweight Title, according to Pitt-Johnstown Athletics.
He continued his wrestling career at Pitt-Johnstown winning six heavyweight NCAA National Wrestling championships and setting five Pitt-Johnstown all-time wrestling records, according to the university. Read More...
