CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — One local father is letting teens know that there is always help. P.J. Shell says his stepson, Maverick Baker, took his own life back in February. Baker was a hockey player for the Bishop McCort Crushers. His stepdad speaking with students at Richland High School about suicide awareness. Mayor confirms departure of Johnstown city manager; JHA seeks assistance for housing study

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Following Wednesday night's Johnstown city council meeting, 6 News spoke with mayor Frank Janakovic, who confirmed that city manager Ethan Imhoff gave council a 60-day notice that he'd be stepping down from his position, citing family reasons. Janakovic says the city will be accepting applications for the new city manager through the end of the month and says he is confident they will have the position filled before Imhoff’s departure. That’s what Austin Cole, a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, told 6 News. “It’s stressful right now, because you don’t know what’s going to be happening a week from now, especially with new variants happening," he says.
