CHILI, N.Y. (WHAM) — A tractor-trailer hit two New York State Thruway Authority workers on Interstate 90, killing one and seriously hurting the other, according to police.
The workers were in a work zone when they were hit Thursday shortly before 12:30 p.m. Police said a 62-year-old man was killed, while a 58-year-old man was injured and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

WEST PENN TOWNSHIP, Pa (AP) — Pennsylvania State Police say two firefighters died responding to a house fire where a body was found, while two people who lived in the home got out safely.
The firefighters who died were identified as members of the New Tripoli Fire Company, Assistant Fire Chief Zachary Paris, 36, and Marvin Gruber, 59, Trooper David Beohm said.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WJAC) – The charter bus carrying a visiting university’s women’s ice hockey team burst into flames as it entered Penn State’s campus, according to an Alpha Fire Department official.
Fire Director Shawn Kauffman told 6 News no one was injured, and the team’s equipment was already at Pegula Ice Hockey Arena.
