NANTY GLO, Pa. (WJAC) — A staff member at Blacklick Valley Elementary in Nanty Glo has tested positive for COVID-19, according to Superintendent Bill Kanich. Kanich says students will learn virtually for two weeks before returning to their hybrid model on Oct. 19. The superintendent says school officials worked with the Department of Health to perform contact tracing. Coroner releases boy's cause of death in fatal Huston Township fire

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Clearfield County coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder has released the cause of death for the 14-year-old boy who tragically died earlier this week in an overnight house fire in Huston Township. The coroner's office says the teen, who has not been identified by authorities, died from smoke inhalation. People who've lived in western North Carolina for a while are typically used to coexisting with black bears. However, few get as close of an encounter as David Oppenheimer.
